Endings

Came to work, had an email with my appointment letter in it, including what forms to fill out and bring on the 26th when I report for work the first time.

It is ugly-nasty cold out there today. I know we're not as bad off as Boston, but this is most definitely not my kind of weather. Give me heat and humidity any day of the week over this drying, piercing cold.

Couple of meetings this morning, then wrapping more stuff up. Last night it just hit me, this is actually happening, I am actually leaving this job. It's all very new and strange because this was my first job, post-schooling. Never had to go through this whole separation process before, so it's all new to me, finding out who I have to see, check in with, get to sign off on things, etc. This part of the process is what's actually driven it home that I'm leaving - having to get backups of my files, give up the credit card, etc. Oy.

We've been released for the day, but my hair appointment isn't until 6:30. I wonder if I can go in earlier... Don't want to go home and have to head back out if I can avoid it (yes, I'm that lazy). ;-p

Oh, and filling out these security forms for new employment? What a pain in the neck. Like I remember my address from 5 years ago off the top of my head. ;-p

Drew lives!

Ran into drewan this evening at dinner. He came in with friends, waiting for a table and I spotted him while on the way to the loo. He's doing well, flight was no problem, and seemed to be enjoying himself. :-) Glad I recognized him.
