Incredible

Went to see The Incredibles last night with [livejournal.com profile] lioncub and [livejournal.com profile] todc. All three of us agreed, everything else that was amazing in the movie aside, we just wanted the housing and furniture. Perfect mid-century looks, that we all were just going nuts over every time they came up on the screen. *swoon*

Can't wait for a sequel. ;-)

A twist on the latest craze

This is the problem with LJ, half your friends list posts nothing but whiny rants and the other half nothing but quizzes and memes. Unfortunately you can't do a damned thing to rectify it (except defriend the lot of them). I have no desire to answer dumb questions about me, especially things that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. So either try reading more closely or bugger off.

Then post this in your LJ and find out how many other people on your friends list are sheep.

Channelling my inner Chanel

It seems the impression after The Incredibles is that I most resemble Edna, darling.

So that, of course, means I need an icon of the dear woman. Any of you who are good at such things, get ye hence and find one for me.

Thank you; I so enjoy our little chats.

(no subject)

"A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles. It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt. But If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are at stake."
--Thomas Jefferson, June 4, 1798, in a letter to John Taylor after passage of the Alien and Sedition Acts

Halleluyah

Ah, enough people's posts managed to push [livejournal.com profile] claddah76's evil, evil, evil non-lj-cutting-self off my friends list, which finally cleaned up the look of the page (no more wonky HTML to screw up the S2 style sheets).

I tell you folks now, I find out you are posting some crap on your journal, without LJ cuts, that screws up my friends list for the better part of a day and I will cut you next time I see you. I live in the 'hood, I'm not scared to get out a knife.

Art in DC

I think this one turned out pretty well, for a camera phone. :-)
