Fear of the Man
(for background: a new law went into effect yesterday, 7/1/04, in DC banning driving and talking on your cell phone, without using a hands-free device)
I'm riding to the Metrorail on a bus this morning and I notice this red taurus in the left lane beside us, Maryland plates. The woman driving had a very large sign, must have been 40 size font, with the words "New Cell Phone Law" emblazoned across it. I guess she must talk on the phone a lot in her car.
But wouldn't a string tied around the phone have worked just as well?
