It seems like almost every new recipe I see for a pasta dish wants you to use 12 ounces of pasta. Do these US-based recipe authors not shop in the same stores that do? Because the norm for most boxes I see is 1 lb of pasta, or 16 ounces. You seriously want me to measure out 3/4 of a box of pasta and save the rest? Uh-uh. It's a full box or it's nothing.
