Vented
The dryer vent guy showed up quickly and on time. He was happy to explain what he was doing and how it was going, how the blind would be calculated, and showed us how much junk came out of the vent.
And it certainly did not hurt that he was hot and tattooed.
But as he got started, this was a portion of what came out:

Gross! I cannot believe the former homeowners never cleaned this thing out. And apparently the way the builder set up the room and the vent there are a couple bends in the venting that of course are ripe to catch lint as it flows out, so there was plenty to get dragged out. I think we're lucky there wasn't a fire from all of that. We're trying a load of towels now, so let's hope it finishes drying in one go this time. And I'm setting up a reminder for this time next year to do this again.

This serves as a good reminder to me to do this on my own dryer vent. Thanks!
