As I sit here and listen to the school start delays in the various outlying counties, I thank my lucky stars that I don't live in the middle of nowhere where they aparently can't clear the roads of snow.

No, I live in the middle of a large city where they can't clear the roads of snow.

Didn't there used to be a system where the gov't took a little portion of your income and provided some services...like snow removal. Whatever happened to that?!?!

As well, it's not the streets so much as the sidewalks, and my car oriented neighbors who don't clear their sidewalks, that trouble me. Then again, those outlying counties don't have sidewalks...

lol how many inches do you have there? outside my house, we prolly have a foot and a half, but the roads are pretty clear.
