Planning is good
Feb. 6th, 2004 09:09 amThis morning a second credit card got paid off in as many pay periods (and unlike the one two weeks ago, this one will be killed off as well). Gradually getting rid of this consumer debt, now just three more cards to go (the legacy of graduate school and living with The Ex).
Feels so good when planning pays off and you can look at bills and say, "Hey, there's some extra money available, what can be killed now?" Much better than my usual impulse, which was, "What can I buy now?" ;-p
Also feels great when the monthly budget shows X amount more available for other things (like further debt reduction) because you get to knock off a mandatory line item.
I suppose five years of working in a budget shop finally rubbed off on me. ;-)
