It's not actually too early, but it feels like it. Was up late reading, having finally gotten through re-reading the first four books in the
Lightbringer series yesterday, I had started the final book, and didn't want to put it down. So, to bed late, then woke up around the normal time, was settled upon by the cats. A decoration fell off the wall around 20 minutes later, then the Sunday paper (coupons!) was delivered, both events causing the cats to startle slightly, which meant no getting back to sleep for me. I predict a nap later.
Pool time went well on Friday, with a bit of confusion over a group supposedly having reserved some lanes (only three of them showed up, so there was plenty of space for all five of us who were there at 6:30 to swim). Picked up the bike Friday, and it's all pretty and clean. Rode it in the trainer yesterday, and will do the same later this morning. Had to fiddle some to get the speed & cadence sensor to reconnect, but it's all good now. Nice to have that bad and not all gross.
The couch cushion covers, alas, were not a success - still smelled like cat pee. So we bit the bullet and ordered a new couch from lovesac, with modular bits that can be replaced if/when we need to. We opted to spent a little more and make the bases all storage bases, as tiny apartment = need as much storage space as possible. And took the two years no interest deal as well. Yay good credit.
Oh! And I have a second (and third?) interview on Tuesday, which conveniently I already had off from work, so no coming up with excuses to be absent. An hour with the head of the office, then an hour with whatever other staff is there for the holiday week. Hopefully the former colleague who sent me the job ad will be there this time. LOL He was out for some reason the last time I went in, and since it's been almost a decade since we've seen each other in person, and since I'd be working with him a lot in this new role, it would be good to see him again. I'm
really excited that I got called back. And I had fun leaving that to the last bit of news about my day on Friday when I was walking home with the husband. That's the one big thing I think I would miss, is walking home with him each day. We'll have to find some other way to get a daily check in before the inevitable "what do you want for dinner?" type conversations kick in.
