Been reading a lot of "self-help" style stuff of late (yay for the instant gratification of e-books on the Palm). I suspect this is because of the feeling of being out of control thanks to the ankle. Anyway, recurring theme in all of them, no matter the overarching topic, can be boiled down to, "accept that you're human, and therefore flawed, and you'll do your best, but you will mess up once in a while, and that's okay."
Perfectionism as the enemy of the good (the fit, the organized, the motivated, the etc.).
Ruminations are needed on this, but that will mean scheduling some time away from the computer and/or other distractions, and those distractions have been far, far too distracting of late (speaking of which,
doublejoe7, I tried the NWN module this weekend, talk to me later about it). I feel like I've had a lot of time to sit with my thoughts, but haven't used any of it to do any thinking.
Let's hope the ankle boot comes off tomorrow, or at least soon.
