Finders Keepers

I hate when I can't find something.

I'm scrounging around trying to find this book on swimming which I had not quite finished reading before my bike accident back in August and now I can't find the damned thing to save my life.

Never mind that I moved between then and now, I should still be able to find on bright yellow book, ya know?

Grrr.

Get Shorty

As readers will know, I live in a building with a large Latino population. Many of these men are fairly short (like 5' and under), and pretty darned cute (including gropey-boy from the other night). Especially when I'm stuck in an elevator with one of them, I just want to pick them up and have my way with them.

Now I know how all you 6'-whatever boys must feel when you see 5'6" me. ;-p

Pooled Resources

Went to the YWCA this morning and did about 20 minutes of crawls and side strokes in the pool. My upper back is telling me it objects to coming out of retirement, but it's going to have to get over it.

The ankle handled it well. The occasional light twinge when it decided to go, "Whoa, Nelly!" (and I shot back that it was being homophobic), but otherwise it did okay.

So I can swim again. And I only went up one size in the waist for the new swimsuits (bright red!), so am not feeling like a total whale at the moment. And no one commented on the nipple rings (or the scrotum ring - not that they could see that one), which also did well in the water.

Apple Goodness

Well, iPods purchased, discounts gotten, hot saleman swooned over, etc.

The iPod is now charging. The Firewire board has been installed and is happy as a clam. I don't quite get the "if you have a PC you have to charge it separately" instruction, but that's okay, I'll play by their rules for now. ;-)

Am definitely wanting an Apple machine now, though. They're so purty. ;-) lioncub got one, but I'll let him tell that story.

So, once is up and going, I'll be iTuning all the stuff I've ripped so far over to the thing for tomorrow's morning commute.

lioncub is all wrapped up in his new Powerbook. Is so cute to watch. ;-) I'm just ripping more CDs as the iPod charges. Whee. :-)

I am still not going to go out and buy Pepsi, though. Don't like it, don't need it, don't want it, even with the chance at free music. ;-p

I'm also going to give up the notion that I don't drink caffeine. I do, I admit it, I'm not going to feel guilty over it any more. ;-p Starbucks was good today, as was the iced tea at lunch.
