So, right as we're getting ready to leave, the building's plasterer shows up to fix the water damage in the dining room ceiling. Thankfully we were there and could corral the cats into my room so they'd be out of the way and not tempted to eat any of the nice lead paint chips (not that them being more docile from eating lead sounds like that bad an idea at the moment).
After dumping Boris into the bedroom, FOR THE FIFTH TIME, he decided to get all pissy and hissy and scratched my hand nicely. Lovely long scratch in the middle of the palm (no sex with the right hand for a few days...). We made up before I left, and after I dosed my hand with peroxide.
Ended up leaving about 1/2 an hour late, and getting in at about the same time difference.
But hey, I have a lovely risotto for lunch, as well as some chocolate cake. ;) Too bad I couldn't bring in the ice cream, too...

ADD and TV Watching
Apr. 5th, 2004 12:53 pmThank heavens my parents made me read a lot instead of watching so much Sesame Street when I was growing up because otherwise I... Oh, look at the pretty birdie!

Not bad. Had a meeting on a rather shaky memo I wrote. Long story short, the basic premise is sound, and they're going to proceed based on that premise, but I'm going to re-write the thing so it's not quite so shaky-sounding. The meeting helped to clarify a few things that others had not explained to me (the joys of being new!), so it shouldn't be too evil to do.

Gay Men's Chorus of Washington
Apr. 5th, 2004 04:49 pmThose of you who are involved with the GMCW here in the DC area, could you please drop me a line? The GLOBE here at DOE is looking for things for the pride month celebration in late June and someone suggested the GMCW, so I'm looking for the person(s) I need to speak with about the event. Thanks!
About an hour ago, it was 60 degrees in my room. No wonder my feet were cold. So, an hour later, it's now 62 in here. ;-p So much for the lukewarm heat coming out of the heaters. At least it's not May so the heat is still working.
And on that note, it's time to kidnap
lioncub and drag his nice, warm body under the covers to snuggle. Night!
