Descriptions

I realized this week that I need to stop analyzing last weekend and just describe it. Not sure that it'll be any easier, buy I'll likely be able to get more scenes out of it than to keep trying to "process" what happened.

Tonight's party for lioncub's birthday went very well. Lots of friends, lots of fun, not too much alcohol. Helps when I start with club soda for the first 3 hours or so and then switch to red wine, instead of starting with the wine. :-p Anyway, is time for bed since all the dishes have been done (we used real glass for most drinks - scary). Night, all!

I finally rode the bike down to the bike shop, hoping to use their air pump to put a tad more pressure in, more than I was willing to sit and pump in with a hand pump. Get there, plug it in, and promptly drain every bit of air out of the front tire. :-/ Employee comes out (the store was closed), I ask him about the pump, and his reply:

"Oh yeah, the compressor finally died on us. We need to order a new one."

I think he would've taken me in, had I not had the hand pump still strapped to the frame (which I was hauling out when he came out of the building). So, pumped it up by hand anyway.

I think I may call them tomorrow and suggest they put up a sign in the window, "Warning: the air compressor is not working, do not attempt to fill your tires..." ;-p
