Cool morning
Aug. 9th, 2004 09:38 amStill nice and cool here in DC. Woke up feeling a tad better than yesterday, and ran this morning, which always improves my mood.
Irritated that my paper never showed up this morning (woke up at 5:20, checked, no paper; back to bed, up again at 6, no paper [the thing is usually there by 4:30 or so], called the automated system, "we have until 6:30 to deliver it" [bullshit!]; called at 6:35, reported it missing, asked for a new one; got back from my run at 7:30, no paper, called again and cancelled the request and asked for a credit for the missing paper). This is not usual for my carrier, so I'm hoping it's a one day fluke. If not, tomorrow morning they get a really nasty call. I dislike things that throw off my routine.
Anyway.
So, with the boss out for the next two weeks, of course the acting boss is semi-panicky over anything and everything that might remotely fall into my subject area. This is where the Moose Soporific Rays come in very, very handy. ;-)
Long week ahead.
lioncub is out of town Tuesday night, as well as for another ten days starting on Saturday. Dangerous times for the Moose (aka unregulated free time *grin*). Shall have to find ways to keep myself amused that don't involve copious amounts of alcohol. ^_^
