I think whatever it was is now out of my system. Just in time to go out in the 30-some degree weather down to the nice, heated indoor pool and swim some. Yay! :-)

Looking at bikes this morning with [livejournal.com profile] ironmanjt. I'm almost decided that it'll be a matter of cost between a QR Kilo or the slightly more expensive (but with much better components) QR Tequilo. Will have to head out to Bonzai sports at some point and actually look at and try on the bikes to see which would work better. So that's the next big expense, after the planned iBook purchase after the holidays.

Trying to hunt up two triathlons for this upcoming year, a sprint distance (7,500 meter swim, 22 km bike, 5k run) in the mid-summer range and an Olympic distance (1,500 meter swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run) for this fall. Already doing a run in the spring (Cherry Blossom 10 miler), so have an early, early race down and ready to go, now it's finding things for the later parts of the season.

In any case, it's time to clean up and head to the gym.

Decided to try and take some new pics, but when I booted the camera I noticed you can still see the imprint around my eyes from the swim goggles. Later, then!

(45 minute swim, almost cut it short, but got a second wind around the 30 minute mark and made it through)

Brrrr

Just home from a potluck, the stomach having calmed this morning. It is freakin' cold out there! 25F at the moment, projected to be 19F for the commute and the (possible) morning run tomorrow. Whee.

Give me heat and humidity any day of the week over this crap.

It's now down to 19 degrees fahrenheit outside. Ick, ick, ick. I'm glad it's not supposed to stay down this low but a day. Hell, by Thursday it'll be back in the 60s again. Not that much different from how it was when I was growing up, when I can remember several holidays where new bicycles were ridable on Christmas day (temps in the mid 70s or so).

Sleep time, and hopefully up to run in the morning.
