Cool running
Dec. 2nd, 2020 11:06 amFirst (for me) run of the season when it was below 40 degrees. So it was also the first morning when I got to go "shopping" through my container of cold weather gear. I think I've described that here before, but it's how I refer to opening up the winter gear (in the fall) and the summer gear (in the spring) that I've packed away. It's especially apt when I purchase stuff on sale the previous year and pack it away until it's needed. Best time to buy winter gear is in February when everyone wants to clear inventory for the spring/summer stuff. So sometimes "shopping" is really fun, when I've forgotten I bought something. :)
And typically there's at least one day where I forget which gear is good for which temperature ranges, and I'm too cold or (more likely) too warm, but this morning was perfect - tights, light long sleeve T, hat, gloves, normal running socks. I have to find what I did with my ear covers, but they weren't needed this morning.
And the run itself went well, made it up the last, long hill without walking, which is my current 'get back into running shape' goal.
