Interesting. So the straight porn industry shuts down when an actor or actress tests positive for HIV in order to clear the other workers and make sure it hasn't spread.

Why do I doubt such testing happens with gay studios? Although, who knows, maybe they do. I would hope so, if nothing else than to protect their "investment" in the actors involved. :-/

Um, the -whole- str8 porn industry hasn't shut down. There's just been a "call" to do so. Many houses ignore that, feeling their "safety" procedures are adequete.

Only no sex is safe sex, yet that is absurd.

Interesting, especially given that the current (May 2004? I don't have it handy to check) issue of Unzipped Monthly (formerly Unzipped, formerly Advocate Classifieds, etc.) has an article about one porn house doing oral money-shots again since there's apparently customer and performer demand for them. Discretion remains on the part of the performers to participate or not.
