Testing, testing

I finally called my primary care physician and got a referral to an allergist (not that I need a formal referral in the insurance sense, just that I have no clue who to call, so I had them recommend a few people). So am going to go get tested finally next Thursday. Will be good to find out what it is I'm reacting to and if there's any way to turn off the constant slow nose thing (which I think I've had since I was a little kid).
The fun part will be the whole "no antihistamines for four days prior to the appointment" thing. Ugh. Will be worth the temporary pain if it means a more permanent solution to this stuff.
Picked an osteopath (DO) rather than a traditional doctor (MD) because I'm more inclined to the wholistic approach that DOs generally take - treat the entirety of the person and not just the individual symptoms. We'll see how she is next week, but I'm hopeful that this will help both with the allergies and my susceptability to head colds. Would be nice to get through a season with fewer colds, ya know?
