If you want your whole apartment to smell great, bake bread. I'm about to pull two loaves out of the oven now and they smell awesome.

so what kind are you baking? my last baking was pumpernickel (or dark rye as some people like to call it).

Only simple French Bread - flour, water, yeast, salt. I'm a relative newcomer to baking, though I think with three weekends of baking French Bread I've pretty much mastered it and am ready to move on to more advanced versions. :-)
