legalmooseI sincerely hope my three loyal readers* have a happy and healthy 2021.
I stayed up late last night to ring in the new year in Animal Crossing. It was, as befits the series, terribly cute, with the animals all dancing around and waving light sticks, while fireworks went off overhead. 'Twas quite fun. The husband had crashed out much earlier, so it was me, my Animal Crossing neighbors, and the cats. In real life, there were fireworks as well, going off for at least half an hour after midnight. Not too loud, was a pleasant background noise. Certainly less intrusive than Santa on a fire engine.
Ran this morning, in a little bit of drizzle. I ran it with the normal GPS accoutrements, unlike in some past years where I'd run with no watch or other timer, because I wanted the proof that I ran for a Garmin running challenge I signed onto for this month. Thought it would be a nice external motivator. Nothing too spectacular on the run, though I did see 3-4 pairs of ducks (male/female pairs of mallards) out on the Northwest Branch when I briefly crossed it at a turnaround. Few humans, probably because of the light rain, which suited me just fine.
But now it's time for a couch stretch, some meditation, and then reading in bed until I'm ready to crash. I also signed up for an Amazon reading challenge, which I get is just mining me for more data, but I'm already reading on my fancy kindle nightly, so what the hey.

**While she no longer writes at Diaryland, I am happy to report that she's alive and well, even if she moved her writing over to the dreaded book of faces.

Date: 2021-01-02 02:56 pm (UTC)I read you most always.... usually give the heart thingy and i know with some people who haven't upgrade to the new format don't see the hearts.. although i think e1 get's an email notification... so just most next to the heart symbol at bottom of entry and names show who liked your entry... I should be one of them! :)
