I was feeling antsy and restless this afternoon, so I went for a run. I usually try to do my workouts first thing in the morning, as I find that sets a better mood for the day, but that's not been happening much of late. I biked a bit yesterday afternoon, and then ran today, also mid-afternoon. Worked on either side of the workouts, which is one decided benefit of this whole working from home thing that I never did before we all got stuck at home anyway. :-p And we're in the settled-but-still-finding-things stage of being moved in now, so gradually some of the other exercise equipment is making its way back into the light and routine.

The one set of stuff that was never hidden away was my body work things, like the foam roller, and the small therapy ball (think lacrosse ball). Those have been a major help in ungluing things when they get stuck. Like last night, my lower back had been getting stiff, which I know from experience usually means my glutes are tight (everything is connected!), so I sat on the therapy ball for a bit, rolling around and moving the leg back and forth to unglue the muscles and fascia. And voila, stiffness gone.
