Feb. 23rd, 2002 01:32 pmThere were three Indian squaws. One slept on a deer skin, one slept on an elk skin and the third slept on a hippopotamus skin. All three became pregnant and the first two each had a baby boy. The one who slept on the hippopotamus skin had twin boys This goes to prove that the squaw of the hippopotamus is equal to the sons of the squaws of the other two hides.

Date: 2002-02-24 04:09 pm (UTC)There once was a girl who wanted a red silk dress for Christmas. It was the only thing she wanted. She told her family and friends that they shouldn't bother to get her anything else for Christmas, because the only thing she wanted was a red silk dress. She dreamed about it and talked about it for months, how she would get her heart's desire - a red silk dress.
Well, Christmas came, and she could hardly sleep. She woke up early, before anyone else, went downstairs and saw under the tree a red dress! Very excited, she ran to the tree to get a closer look and hold up her new dress to herself, to touch the beautiful fabric. As she picked it up, she realized that it wasn't silk, but instead had been made of a man-made material.
Even though the girl was upset, she was philosophical about it. She just sighed, and remarked "ah well, into everyone's life, a little rayon must fall."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Even to this day, whenever John or I talk about something we really want, Dad asks "Did I ever tell you about the girl who wanted the red silk dress for Christmas?" We just roll our eyes.
