Alumni Relations
Apr. 2nd, 2002 11:49 amIs it wrong to get really pissy on an alumni form when it doesn't include options that reflect my queer life?
I mean, c'mon, "single, married, divorced, separated, windowed"? What about partnered? Long term relationship? Even putting aside the whole poly thing, we can't get married, but I'm certainly not single. :-p
(and don't give me the legal crap about our status being technically "single" under the law)
I wrote on the bottom, under "children": "I find it offensive that even with sexual orientation in the school's non-discrimination policy that all of the categories listed are geared to heterosexual relationships."
Oh, and I circled the place on the form where they asked for "E-Mail No." and asked them since when was it a number? ;-)
