I'm totally not a smoking person, but I ran into, and was forced to sit and have a civil conversation with The Ex yesterday, and afterward I just wanted a cigarette, or some kind of release.

I could soooo see the attraction of smoking right then.

Ick.

In a nutshell, he's gained weight, he's on cholesterol medicine at 33, he's not got a job (mom's supporting him?), all our pets are with his relatives now, and he looks like shit.

Living well is the best revenge. :)

Ran into him at the doctor's office. Sitting there talking politely, not giving away a damned thing, the doctor walks in from lunch, and the reaction was, "Hi" (to The Ex), "Hi there" (to me) and then "Oh my" (to no one in particular). LOL! Was funny to see the doctor do a doubletake (he knows what an evil breakup we had).

Was good, I suppose, to be able to have a civil, meaningless conversation with him. But I still wanted wash my hands or something after I was done

Hmmm ... my "ex" is in better shape now than when we broke up ... he works out regularly now, but never lifted a finger while we lived together (except to do household chores or cook). I guess he realized he had to work out to compete in the singles market ;-)

You were probably a very good influence on your ex. You probably helped him organize his life, soothed his wayward emotions, and cooked nutritious meals for him. I know you do those things for me :-)

I love seeing my ex. I get to see how I am doing so mcuh better than him. He may have the new wife and 2 kids, but at least I didnt settle for someone fat and ugly, and choose to live like white trailer trash. *sigh* It makes my day :)

LOL! Same here. He's pudgy, and on medications, and, well, I'm not. :)

Shallow, I know, but fuck it, with the shit I went through with him, I don't get upset feeling this way. :)

The exboyfriends who put me through utter hell and fucked me over are single and misreable and no woman would even look at them. *giggle* The one that fucked me over in 1994 STILL can't get a date. His brother is married with twins. And all his friends are involved with somebody. But he's the bitter single one. It makes me laugh because he put me through hell.

Greg didn't date anybody when we first broke up in 1992. Then I dumped him in 2001 and nobody asks him out and if he asks someboyd out they'd tell him to get fucked.

It's great, no?
