Me: Yes.
TA: Hold on, I can beat that.
Me: But, I'm on government rate.
TA: Doesn't matter, hold on, I'm putting it in the system...
Me: But...
TA: Okay, spring discount, $72 now.
Me: But...
TA: Sign here, please.
Me: Okay.

But, but, we're not supposed to get additional discounts past the government rate!

I took it, and we can take it because it's offered to the general public and not just to select groups (in other words, if they give it to everyone, but not, say, my AAA discount).

All depends on what job I have, next month. Fridays nights are usually bad; I have services. Saturday nights are kinda iffy. Everything else is choice. :)

Wait, they prohibit you from taking advantage of any PUBLISHED discount? I can see forbidding "special" rates, but come on, if it's a general published discount like AAA. ARGH. More govt waste!

You have to be a member of AAA to get the discount, and not everyone is, so it's a no-no.

I know, silliness. It's part of our contracts with the various airlines and what not - blame GSA.
