Dead, dead, dead

Good day to be in the office and CLEAN! I'm tossing all kinds of crap out, and filing away other stuff for future reference once I'm gone.

I only worry that they're going to discover how much of this stuff I pulled out of my head and how bad I was at filing once I'm gone. Oh well, life happens. :)

No bosses, though the Team Leader is here. She agreed, today is for filing and cleaning up, so she's leaving me alone.

Did have to give in and get some decaf, so it appears cold turkey will not be working for coffee this year. S'okay, as long as it goes bye-bye eventually. Like, in the next week.

Also going through and identifying what needs to be taken home from here. Personal files, personal effects, plaques, incriminating information, etc. Always fun to do (not) - digging through the last five years of your life to se what needs be salvaged and what can be thrown to the winds.

Just when you thought it was safe...

I really, really need to let go of this job emotionally. The current job, I mean - the new one is still good to go, no problems there.

I'm going along, discover something with one of my projects where da boss has decided to rip how we've done business to shreds again and totally redo it. Not a problem, I just print off some reports, do some data entry, produce something for her. Go to try and meet with my team leader and I get hit with another disaster to research/solve/write up.

You know, folks, I'm gone in three weeks. For real this time. Which means your precious to-do list ain't gonna get done if you keep piling more shit on it.

I really hate to throw attitude at work, but I'm just going to look at them and say, "tough shit," when they complain again about things not getting done.

I think this was the first time the two of us sat at our dining room table and had a real sit down meal with more than one dish. The more typical thing has been to sit at the high table in front of the balcony's sliding glass doors, or on a couch in front of the TV. The new lighting makes the dining room a real option now - you can actually see something in there! - so I surprised him with a full menu. The best thing was that all I needed to get was the bell pepper for the dirty rice; everything else was already in the kitchen.
