Returning

Always fun to come back after a couple of days off. Unlike the last job, there were only a handful of emails awaiting me (it's so nice to not yet be important), though there is a Big Signature Package awaiting my review. Not too bad for two days off.

The weekend was lovely. Did go to the Eagle on Saturday with pinkfish and met up with ironmanjt and his man. The Eagle was, well, the Eagle. Like most gay bars I don't precisely fit in, and that's fine. Despite my penchant for Thursday night Happy Hours at hOmega a few years back, I'm really not a bar going person any more. I much prefer the medium of the 'net if I'm looking for anything other than meeting friends.

Sunday was spent relaxing off the mild hangover from the Eagle and the after-trip to JRs (gonads and strife, baby, gonads and strife). Wandered over to the (relatively) new Columbia Heights Coffee House on 11th and met J, the man I'd met the previous Sunday. He lives right up the block on 11th so we headed over to his place and lounged around watching bad movies and TV (and, of course, making out and cuddling). Was nice and relaxing.

lioncub got home safely from seeing his family Sunday evening, and since Lawrence (bf#2) was out of town this weekend we had a rare Sunday night together. Ordered in as neither of us was in the mood to cook, watched some more TV, then more down time before sleep.
