It's too darned hot

It is not just hot, it is miserably hot.  Inside the apartment, that is.  I suspect our "repaired" AC thingeys on the roof aren't as repaired as they claimed.

Additionally, since this is a bitch post, there is one, count 'em, one elevator out of a bank of three working on the B side of the building (the side I live on). That means if the B side freight elevator is being allowed to run (sometimes they stop it late at night for some stupid reason), the people on floors 2 and 3 on the B side are trapped on those floors unless they can use the stairs. Methinks I'll be making a call to building management tomorrow when they're open again and letting them know that I'm going to call the DC Housing Authority if they don't get the AC and the elevators fixed ASAP.

And on a lighter note...

Thoroughly enjoyed going to heterodoxy's place for another game day yesterday.  Was great to see all the boys, and enjoyed myself immensely.

Afterward I zipped up to Taint for a bit.  That was fun, too.  The only thing I had issues with was the level of AC (practically nonexistent - I'm sensing a pattern here...).  But the party itself was fun, and I loved the music and the crowd.  Definitely something to repeat.

Oh, and one other thing at Taint.  We were sitting in a large booth (guarding it from predatory lesbians who kept trying to steal it from us *grin*), and one of the boys had a drink that must've had cheap vodka in it because I got a good whiff of the stuff and thought I was going to get ill.  No can do cheap vodka anymore.  I actually did pretty well, as I was pretty much sober by the time I got there and limited myself to two (alcoholic) drinks and water.  And danced. :-)
