Dodging fire

legalmooseNothing quite like walking through the neighborhoods of DC and dodging firecrackers that people were setting off on the sidewalks. Thankfully most were on the side opposite my building, so I didn't have to dodge many. ;-)

virtualexile's apartment, were quite nice. The most fun pieces were the smiley faces (ring, dot eyes and smile), followed by blue rings with red stars and after that... peace symbols. I thought it rather interesting that peace symbols were being sent up with the rest of the usual balls and what not, especially given our current 'war time' mode. Hopefully it was unauthorized and it pissed off the powers that be. ;-) I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice to think that someone used it as a chance to take a cheap shot at the administration.
