Okay, in the hierarchy of geeks, I am but a minor player. But I'm comfortable enough with ripping the guts of my computer out and replacing things at will that when I need to upgrade, I do it.
This being said, I cannot get this extra parallel port card to work to save my life. ARGH!

Re: Ports
Date: 2002-08-05 07:28 am (UTC)The problem I'm having on install is that it wants to keep installing multiple PCI boards, all of which then have that stupid Win98 "this isn't working!" thing on them. :-p I so love computers some days. LOL!

Lordy, computers drive me batty sometimes. I've had such wierd behavior from them as of late for no good reason, its starting to scare me. My work computer continuously installs this printer we have in the office. Every few minutes it adds another install of the printer, so I had to switch it over to another server (which I have to log in manually to, but everyone else is connected to by default). That was really annoying since every day I'd have to delete the printer over 50 times.
