MEMORANDUM FOR All Military Personnel within the WRAMC Special Courts-Martial Jurisdiction
SUBJECT: Off-limitsEstablishments – Nations Nightclub
1. Effective 22August 2002, MG Jackson, Commanding General for the Military District of Washington and President of the Joint Armed Forces Disciplinary
Control Board(JAFDCB) for the National Capitol region officially notified the proprietor of the nightclub Nations, 1015 Half Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003, that the Joint Armed ForcesDisciplinary Control Board has placed the club off-limits to all military personnel. The JAFDCB issued the order (enclosed) as a result of reported drug trafficking and use at the club. This type of activity is detrimental to the health and welfare of the members of the Armed Forces.
2. Members of theArmed Forces are prohibited from entering Nations, as long as this order is in effect. All commanders and supervisors will ensure that all military personnel under their supervision are aware of and fully understand this order. Pursuant to Army Regulation 190-24, military personnel who violate the off-limits order may be subject to disciplinary action UP Article 92, UniformCode of Military Justice.

Date: 2002-09-05 04:41 pm (UTC)is this sort of action common around here? I mean for the military to declare certain places off-limits like nightclubs? was pretty SOP where i grew up but there was a much bigger military presence there.
