Why do we revert to bad habits when we're stresssed (said the man who had a decaf this morning)?

A lot of habits we call "bad" are immediate stress relievers that have unwanted long-term side effects. So, when your stress level goes up, you reach for the stress relieving behaviors that have worked for you in the past.

My stress relievers are temporary isolation, Kava Kava, alcohol, food, exercise, clubbing, writing, music, snuggling, Calvin & Hobbes ... caffeine isn't a stress reliever for me so I don't reach for it when I'm feeling stressed.

What is stressing you today, Moose?
