Yesterday Evening
Oct. 6th, 2002 10:25 pmI'm not good at describing parties. I mean, people show up, they eat, they drink, they talk, the go home, right? Standard party fare.
Bought far too much alcohol (but hey, I have a well-stocked liquor cabinet now!), and I'm still finishing off cake, but folks seemed to have a good time. The mix of folks was good, the topics of conversation went all over the map (cooking, politics, pop culture, etc.). No one seemed ready to kill any of the other guests (though the political stuff did get rather... interesting, at times - the joys of having friends from multiple political parties), and the punch went over well (something I let simmer all day in the crock pot - then let people add vodka as they desired *grin*), as did the cakes.
As I say, I'm not good at describing these things, usually because I'm usually too involved with flitting between people to get a big picture of the event. :-p
