Luggage

Luggage successfully procured.

My smaller suitcase had a wheel fall off on the way back from St. Louis on Thursday, thus necessitating a trip to Tyson's Corner today to get a new piece (the larger suitcase's handle is about to fall off). Went to L.L. Bean, my first choice, and didn't like theirs. Thankfully Hechts was having a big luggage sale (50% off the bag I got, plus another 10% off at the register - woo-hoo!), so I now have a very large wheelie bag suitable for going away for weeks at a time.

The interesting part was getting to Tyson's via Metrorail and Metrobus. It was surprisingly easy both ways, and the trip back was great - bus came in like 2 minutes, and the trains were just pulling up as I got onto the platforms. Is nice when things come together that way.

So, am headed back to St. Louis/Southern Illinois tomorrow evening for the next week. Wish me luck finding good food!

I know. :) This was one of those "can I do it if I have to" kind of things. Was fun, and faster than I expected - longest part was sitting on the damned trains!
