Election Update

legalmooseFirst, it's awfully cold standing still outside the polling place handing out literature. Thank heavens the school is selling snacks and coffee as a fundraiser.
Second, now that I'm on the other side, I can so appreciate why people just run the gauntlet and refuse the paper we're trying to hand them.
Third, on the other hand, I've talked with several voters (who hadn't informed themselves before the election) who were glad to have someone to talk to about issues in the neighborhood.
Fourth, I'm very glad I had some soup leftover in the freezer - I need the warmth!
Fifth, the time to vote is 10-2. No one else is there, you can breeze in and out, and most of the literature-handers-outers have left for lunch.
Sixth, somewhere around 100 or so people have voted in my single member district and I think I'm running ahead (*fingers crossed*).
Okay, lunch time, than back out (with another jacket on) to stand in the cold!!
