Lost Puppies

How do I always manage to attract lost puppies? Do I emit some sort of pheremone?

*sigh*

Go out, have a lovely dinner, have a nice time at the bar, go to Apex (aka Sadlands), pick up lost puppies, procede to spent next few hours describing social services network in DC and MD to them and what they can do to help themselves.

Why me?

And why do they have to be so damned cute, too? Ugh.

It isn't a pheromone, but perhaps it is body language. Or, maybe they go up to everybody, and you happen to be the kind person who doesn't turn them away. And, perhaps you don't turn them away, in part, because they are cute. You do have a history of taking them in, not everybody is so willing to help.
