Jeans

I think it's going to be time soon that I have to break down and get new jeans. I suspect the Gap will be the source since they're one of the few that makes jeans without the big ole leather patch on the back that I now refuse to buy (although I must say I love Levi's for the fact that you have an instant advertisement about your waist size right on the back).

I think it's also time to face up to the fact that they're going to be size 30 waist and not size 29 waist, at least at the moment.

(and there's the moment when half of my friends list will drop me for complaining about wanting something less than a 30" waist *grin*)

I still fit two of my 29s, but a third pair I have are so damned tight now that it's ridiculous to even try to get into them (though of course I do on occasion try). I suspect they were bought right at the height (depth?) of the mono-induced weight loss three years ago. It's almost enough to make me wish for mono again. ;-) NOT!

But the only pair that is truly comfortable with no stretching to get into is a pair of 30s, which constantly irks me. "I am thin and gorgeous!" to quote Edina, and I don't want to admit that I'm a 30 in the waist now. It's a far cry from the 36 I was a decade ago, but it still irks me.

Lucky brand jeans also don't have that patch, and there's a store right on Connecticut Ave.

Hmmm, the style I wear doesn't, but I suppose since it's an "extra long" style it doesn't do you much good.

My last pair of jeans was also a bump up in waist size. It's such a relief to be able to sit down without worrying that my jean's crotch will clamp down on my nuts like a vise. I picked up a pair of cargo pants at Old Navy, which I absolutely love for all the pockets. No more little backpack just so I can keep my wallet, phone, PDA, and paperback book on my person at all times.

And, no tag. I guess butch boys don't need to worry about waist size.

I think AE and A&F do not have the leather tags.

Heh I wished I ::was:: a 30. But from the opposite direction you might suspect. But alas, not a whole helluva lot I can do about it.

just because your waist is the size of my upper thigh, it doesn't mean that I'm going to drop you. You're just muscular challenged!
