Roots of Dissent

So, I read this op-ed piece in the post this morning and it got me to thinking about how the American left frames its arguments, for or against anything. And I think the author had a valid point, that the current arguments are not fully rooted in the common language of American democracy (i.e., the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution). So I went out and got a copy of The Federalist Papers today. I think it's been too long that I ignored that set of documents and their place in American history.
Got me some reading to do, some thinking to do, and some writing to do.
