Waste, waste, waste

If you're going to require someone to do an analysis of something, set out the ground rules before hand and tell them what you expect so they can get you the information ahead of time. If you fail to do this, and they in turn fail to give you the required data and/or make you do a lot of unnecessary work to get to the point where you can do your part of the process then you've wasted everyone's time when 5 minutes ahead of time could have solved all of it and not left either of you feeling quite as stressed as you do now.

How's that for a run-on sentence?
