May. 21st, 2003 07:26 pmI have three main "sections" of work, if you will.
1. Policy/legal guidance.
2. Management of several large funds.
3. Direct support/analysis for several field offices.
#1 is unique to me as the sole attorney in the group. #2 and #3 are the usual work done by folks in my office, which has been short staffed for about two years now, which is how I've ended up picking up the work.
I got told today that my work in area #3 is being cut in half, literally, going from 8 offices to 4, with more cuts coming once we get two more positions filled which we've been authorized.
I also have been told the fund source that is the bane of my existence in #2 is going away for me as well. Been working with the contractor who is going to take over that fund today so she can start running it ASAP.
This is a very, very good thing. Means I get more time to research and write, which is what I was hired to do in the first place. Is nice to get good work news for a change.
