Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, again

Okay, I could get to like this swimming first thing Sunday morning routine. :-)

I don't feel like I can really call what I did "swimming" though. It's been years since I was last in a pool (literally), so today was more like re-familiarizing myself with the water. Was pleased to discover that I'm still very comfortable in the water (yay red cross swimming lessons as a kid!), and I can still do a passable side stroke. My crawl was abyssmal, the backstroke was pretty good, and the breaststroke (never one of my favorites) was best forgotten. So, played around, chatted with Tracy and her friend Vivian, etc., etc. Was fun.

Totally got creepy old man checked out in the showers, though. And here I thought the YWCA would be a little safer for that. Ha! Silly, silly Moose. I almost flounced out of the shower area, just to be a tease, but I restrained myself.

Rode up to the Dupont farmer's market. Sugar snap peas, baby spinach, a cucumber, some cherries. Yum. I'm thinking spinach and some of the cucmber in a salad with some Goddess dressing.

pinkfish, I found the Loreal Kids "Swim & Sport Shampoo" and it did fine. Was orange, though, not bubblegum. I was mildly disappointed, I wanted to smell like bubblegum. ;-)

Off to dinner (Ethiopean!) with ironmanjt this evening. I'll ride down again - is too nice to take the bus!

Well, they call it orange, but if you close your eyes and smell it, I don't think it smells the slightest bit like oranges, not even artificial ones.

I didn't mean to lead you to believe it smelled like bubblegum; I thought I had said "candy". But in any case, I think it smells more like artificial imitation watermelon than artificial imitation anything else, not to mention all-natural anything at all.

Well, it is for kids, after all. :) It worked, and that's the important part.
