Remind me not to go out clubbing again anytime soon. I've spent the past two-three days recovering from it. Yuck. Combo of sleep deficit and caffeine hangover that has not been pretty. I'd much rather stay in and get up earlier to run or bike when it's cooler out.

Going to attempt a long run this morning. Heaven willing it'll be fine, I'm just going to redo the 10 miles I did two weeks ago rather than try to add any mileage. Have to get used to the now warmer temps, especially seeing as the race is at Virginia Beach at the end of August.

I think this is why I never really got the hang of clubbing - I was always "in training" as a young man, which meant that (1) I was always tired by about midnight, because I had been out for a long run, swim, or bike ride at the crack of dawn the day before, and (2) I was planning another one the following morning, and didn't want to stay out late, even if I could.

The sacrifices one makes for one's sport.

Do you get any transcendent experiences comparable to what 5of5 describes from clubbing, (http://www.livejournal.com/users/5of5/75459.html) from running?
