Was running late because I insisted on running this morning, so stopped into Cosi to grab an everything bagel and peanut butter, my usual "breakfast of the running late."

They were out of peanut butter.

Worse, the guy intimated that they might not be carrying peanut butter any more.

You can imagine my shock and horror at the thought. It's not like I can eat any of the other stuff they have back there for toppings, so this has been my mainstay to get away from dry, boring toasted bagels.

Something will have to be done.

A similar situation occurred with me some time back with a place I went by everyday for breakfast. After some discussion, we worked out a deal where *I* brought the peanut butter once every couple of months for a discount on my bagel. The good folks kept it behind the counter as kind of my private stash. They always had my bagel for me with this arrangement.
