Seems my Sunday mornings are becoming regular forays to the gym. Good. Nice ride down, swim went pretty well. Decided to do weights after the swim, so did so. Was a nice way to work out the remaining kinks from Friday. Thankfully there's no real soreness from Saturday's long run, so the workout today wasn't a problem. Well, the ride up 13th Street was tedious after doing the squats, but I got to the top of the hill okay, if sloooooooooowly (First cogwheel, 2nd gear - is a steep hill, for DC).

I'll rest on Tuesday - that'll be my regular "no exercise" day of the week for now.

Few swimmers in the pool this morning, a lot less than last week when every lane was full. I think mine was the only one shared for most of the time I was there. Don't know enough to know if this is a regular pattern or not. I'm too much the creature of scheduling and habit - I want to have that time down and get to it on time.

And, crazy child that I am, I'm looking seriously at the Bay Bridge Marathon in mid-October. Most of the run is across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (three bridge spans, two tunnels under the bay), finishing again in Virginia Beach. It again has the advantage of being down near my parents and doesn't fill up quickly, so can decide if I want to be a total masochist and go the full marathon distance this fall. Decisions, decisions...

We can talk about this in detail next week - what is your weekly mileage up to? It sounds like you must be pushing about 40 mpw, from what I can tell from your posts, though you are also doing some cross-training, and that makes it a bit trickier to gauge.

If you stay here long enough, maybe we could even go for a run together.

Well, if you stay two nights, that is, overnight on the Saturday, it will almost certainly cost less (Saturday overnights are almost always cheaper). I will volunteer [livejournal.com profile] lioncub to take care of the cats :)
