Any time you thunderstorms want to open up and drench the city with some nice, cooling rain, you just go ahead now, ya'hear?

90 degrees, feels like 96 according to weather.com. And that's at National airport, down by the blinking Potomac and the nice breeze that's usually going over the river.

Yes, Virginia, this is a bitch session.

You know, I liked the heat better in Taiwan. At least there you were fully acclimated to it because no building you were in had AC, except the occasional restaurant. Dorm didn't have it, classrooms didn't have it, so you just got a fan, got hot and learned to adjust. Here the constant in and out from cold to hot and back can't be all that healthy. Better yet, just give us last night's 70s with low humidity once more and make that last all summer until it drops to, at the lowest, 50 degrees for the winter. :) I could be happy in that.

Current music: the air that i breathe k.d. lang

I was just listening to that last night! Very interesting version she did, all relaxed and breathy...

It feels cool to hear that in sticky, humid nighttime weather...

Did you guys get any rain? For some reason the huge storm that weather.com kept touting broke in half just before philadelphia and proceeded to move around my house. No rain, barely any wind... DAMN IT! I don't mind it so much during the day but when I have to fall asleep with the fan blowing directly on me on high so as to not have a puddle of sweat form beneath me, I am not happy.

I want autumn. =)
