Gasoline prices around the country have shot up to record levels as more motorists squeeze in late summer road trips at a time supplies have been reduced by power outages at refineries and a major gasoline pipeline break in Arizona.

Cheap gas? Surely you jest. Cheap SUPPLY of gas, more profit for W and Dick's buddies.

I think the super high gas prices are more a reflection of corporate greed than anything else. Prices don't rise instantly on higher futures, or at least they shouldn't, unless someone is manipulating and fixing the price points at this end of the pipeline. What goes up certainly never seems to come down with the same rapidity.
