Items to consider
Sep. 17th, 2003 09:30 pm1. No work tomorrow, likely no work Friday. Woo-hoo. More time to move crap and clean the old place. ;-p
2. The kitchen downstairs is 99% empty for tomorrow's scheduled Orkin invasion. Have a few things to move out when I go down to vacuum in anticipation of the invasion.
3. The language study about fucking with the internal order of words is interesting, and not that difficult to read (but then again I can read upside down, too). I still prefer good spelling skills, though.
4. I really, really need to get to the gym. Soon. The lethargy is killing me. Thankfully I have been able to run some, and will get back into that regularly now that the body is healed from the bike accident back on 8/2/03.
5. The whole hurricane thing feels so blase now. I grew up on the coast of Virginia, so I've been through a couple and it's not as big a deal as people are making of it. Yes, it's powerful, yes, you need to prepare, but there's no need to panic folks. Or fight over flashlights in the Homo Depot. ;-)
6. Speaking of pictures on the phone, an issue I had recently with one of my field offices was issuing a subpoena to a phone company to get a copy of a picture to use in a prosecution. Seems the one defendant used her phone to take a picture of another (possible) defendant with a bag of drugs in hand, showing them off like a prize. Rule #2 was in full force there, let me tell you. Lesson, kiddies: don't take pictures of illegal activity, and especially don't transmit said pictures over an electronic network. :-)
