legalmooseJust sent this email to my family re: dumping my AAA membership and switching to the Better World Club. Hadn't realized quite how bad their lobbying efforts were for the environment.
Mom, Dad, and Robert,
I'm dumping my AAA membership and going over to the "Better World Club" (which also allows for towing, etc.). Here are two links about why, including one from Tom and Ray of CarTalk fame:

Better World can be found online at http://www.betterworldclub.com/ and best yet, they offer bike assistance, which is a plus for me!
I won't get the discount on my Amtrak travel, but that's okay. Given the lobbying history of AAA I don't want my money going to them any longer.
