legalmooseSo, today has been only partially productive. ;) We're doing the 'going away' for our now-former CFO whose been gone for weeks now, if not a month (the party got hurricaned-out last time). So not a lot getting done here now as the party time approaches.
Finally found that silly WiFi finder program I was looking for. NetChaser. Whee.
Yeah, so the new toy arrived yesterday, and so of course I had to spend most of the evening playing with that. I was a good boy, stuck it on the cradle to charge it, and then did laundry (clean sheets!) and avoided playing with it for at least three hours. Then I got to install everything, update the OS, fight with pocket quicken (though that seems to have been resolved now), buy a copy of AIM for the Palm (yes, it's not free for the Palm) so I can be a chat geek out in the living room, etc. Was a late night, which hasn't helped my overall sleep deficit, but so be it.
The only beef I have with it is that I miss the hard plastic flip cover from my Palm IIIx. I bought a metal case for the Tungsten so I could protect the screen (I like to carry the thing around in my pocket), and that's all well and good, except it flips open to the side, not up, so you have to hold it slightly askew to use the thumb-keyboard with any dexterity (or just take it out of the case if you're sitting somewhere where you can do that - unfortunately, that does not include the bus, which is where I do a lot of writing on the Palm). I'll adapt, but it would be nice. May have to fuss at RhinoSkin.

lioncub and I will be setting up for that this evening and tomorrow morning (Butternut Squash Stew is the soup of choice this time around). Lunch with ironmanjt on Sunday. The gym on Sunday at some point, etc. Fun. :)
