Doctor, doctor, gimme the news

And the verdict is...
Three more weeks in the aircast.
At least out in public. I can stay out of it at home (like I haven't been?), and see how that does, but three more weeks of resting it while walking around.
I think I'm going to scream now. It's a good thing I don't run into that little twit doctor of mine from Kaiser or I'd be locked up for homicide. Oh, wait, no I wouldn't, this is DC and the homicide closure rate is dismal, so I'd likely get away with it. Tempting.
What I did do, however, once I stopped moping and got my butt to work, was see if the gym had one of those damned arm-cardio machines. It basically looks like your pedaling a bicycle, but with your arms and not your feet. It's incredibly annoying, but it's better than nothing. He was not keen on the idea of swimming, but was okay with a little as long as I didn't stress it. I'll call the Y and see if they have one of the arm machines, otherwise I'll once again have two gym memberships. ;-p It was going to happen eventually because it's the only way to bike to work (they don't provide free showers and the Y is the other side of the Mall from where I work now), but now it may happen sooner rather than later.
Ugh.
