Battery Power

I somehow managed to not turn off my iPod in my bag last night (or didn't lock it so it cut back on?) and it was totally drained this morning. Which, of course, I discovered only after I was out the door and on my way to the bus. Whee! Thankfully the speakers act as a charger base, too, so it'll be back up shortly and more than ready for the evening commute.

Amazing how dependent one becomes on gadgets, though the commute was not bad without music, as it was not bad without music for years before this. I just hauled out the Palm and read the latest e-book I'd downloaded. ;-)

The nose has calmed down considerably after the past two days of "clog, NOW!" that was going on. Keep your fingers crossed that this was the last gasp of the dying virus.

It appears that soup and bad movie night may be a very small affair this Saturday from the Evite RSVPs. :-/ S'okay, I didn't get the word out that quickly this time, so is understandable (but I still wish people would RSVP, even if it's a no...).

Catching up on phone calls this morning, then reviewing the workload to make sure I've closed stuff out, then it's on to this big project.

I've found the best investment I made for my iPod was buying a second charger and leaving it at the office. That way when I occasionally leave the iPod in the car (whoops) during the winter (double whoops) and the cold drains the battery, that's no longer a problem. Although it's very cool that your speakers charge it as well! (When I went laptop at the office, I took my old desktop's speakers and just plugged those right into the iPod. Life is good.)

The Tungsten|C can do that, but it's a mono headphone. Actually, it's the same type of headphone as you get on your cell phone - they designed it so you can do voice memos to yourself and, eventually, VOIP calling on a wireless network. So is not worth trying to do music on my particular Palm. :)

Yes, "One Device to Rule Them All" is definitely my vision, too. The Treo 600 comes close, but no wireless networking, so any browsing has to be done through the service provider. Close, but no cigar when I have my own network at home and can use that without burning sercice time.

Knitting doesn't require battery power. Have I mentioned how I'm addicted to knitting lately? ;) Of course, if you did that, people might think you were queer or something...oh, wait. :O

Silly people...don't they realize that RSVP means to "please respond"? That's not "please respond if you'll be attending", just "please respond". Would you like me to come out there and beat it into them? :)
